Hi,
I'm fairly new to rendering 'high' quality images within revit. Can I change the uncompressed image size or is it always restricted to max 2mb image size?
what is the best way to render at 'Best' and '600dpi' so I can clearly see components etc etc... ive attached the image I have rendered as a test model, this was at the previously mentioned settings and the standard is fairly low and I cant improve the settings any more. I had the model at scale 1:100, if I go to 1:1 for example the uncompressed image size becomes 19.8gb!!!
any help is greatly appreciated

You rendering in Revit is dependent on several factors.
-Size of the render (Zoom level, Resolution, e.g. 600 dpi, scale)
-Quality of the render. Best should give best results but also slowest. Further you can do edit to fine-tune your quality settings.
-Sun and shadow settings.
-Quality of your model (details)
So yes if your scale is 1:1 it will result in a very large render.
HERE you can find more information about the render dialog
If you need more fine grain control of your renders you might need to use a more specialized render software (e.g 3DS Max)
Further you can complete it with post-processing (e.g. photoshop)
