I am doing interior design work where I am adding textures and furniture to my model. I have been taking multiple renderings on draft setting at 600 dpi throughout the day to get a quick image of my work. My cpu maxes out at 100% and the rendering gets done quickly.
Now that I am done with the work, I want to get a final rendering. Using the best rendering setting at 300 dpi, my cpu is only using 60% and the rendering is taking significantly longer than my previous renderings with the same settings. My laptop fans aren’t even running as if they’re under load.
How do I make revit use 100% of my cpu like it has previously with the same settings for other rooms in my model?
I'm not quite sure, but it's probably that 'draft' setting works with CPU and 'best' works with GPU.
Try enabling/disabling Use hardware acceleration in program Options.
I have that option enabled, and the gpu has the same activity with draft and best rendering options. I ended up rendering on the high setting to get the photo processed fast enough, yet it still had the same problem that I described above.
