Rendering a Nested Light Fixture

I am building a specialty equipment family that has a light in it. I nested a light family in the specialty equipment family, but it is not rendering the light in the project. I have not tried this before and cannot seem to find any posts covering this topic. Does anyone know how to get the nested light family to render? Thanks!

Try placing the same light fixture (temporary as a test) and see if it renders by itself.

If it does, then there is something wrong when it's nested into the equip. family.

If it does not, try moving the 'light source' (yellow thing in the light family) outside of its 'housing'--as this can sometimes cause it not to render in the scene. You can alos try giving the lense of the light a 'self-illuminating' (glowing) material.

I moved the light outside of its housing and it is rendering. I have not had that issue before. Thanks!
