Hi everyone,
I'm doing a render in Revit and I need this type of materials:
image 1
I create a new material and on appearence I insert a cutout with the image as you can see.
image 2
When I try doing render, the image has different shadows on the surface where I assigned the material, but I don't understand why. I already try to change different quality and resolution about render but there has been no improvement. I have try to assign also a standard material with uniform color and there aren't any shadows on rendering.

How should I modify the parameter of material?
Thanks
Maybe try Enscape or V-ray. Revit's native rendering quality is very low, sometimes produces strange results and takes more time.
Enscape is very good, but the details sometimes aren't good like Revit render. I would try to understand how can I control parameter of material.
Thanks for your support
try to open the image file and see it in detail. I had an issue with open metal deck flooring - the ootb image didnt have clear outlines of the cut-outs. Editing it in Gimp (photoshop) gave me then better results. Maybe you could try to scale the image to see if you get better result with bigger cutouts.
