Rename rentable plan areas without selecting each individually?

Is there any way to rename rentable plan areas without having to select each one individually and renaming? Let's say I want to change the name type for one type.

Create a view list schedule, sort by that parameter, untick Itemized every instance, then rename the values of that parameter from that schedule.

I'm not following you. Why do you need to change the name for one type?  Type of what?   Color? Scheme? Both are assigned by the Scheme that is associated to the View.  You can create other Schemes.

Yea, I know I can create new ones. It's just the process of picking the right hatches etc. I think @ToanDN 's solution might work. Thanks.

Huh? How would Toan's approach assist you in picking the right hatches?  And what does picking the right hatches have to do with naming?

@barthbradley I just reviewed it and you're right. I think I'll just have to create new ones. I was hoping I could just rename it and keep the hatch as is.

What I told you is to rename all of the old names to a new one at once without having to do one by one.  You still need to match the hatch of the new name to the old one in the color scheme definition because once a name change, Revit create a new hatch for it.

What he mentioned is a different thing, which is create a new Area scheme under Area and Room computation, where you see Gross Building, Rentable, etc. as shown below.

I understand what you're saying now. That helps even if I have to update the hatch for the new name convention at least I can select all at once. Perfect. Thanks!

That's not what I was talking about. That would be silly. That would require creating a new Area View as well.  Unless that's what the OP wants. In that case, then yes; create a New Area Scheme and Area Plan.  But, what I meant was why not create a New  Color Scheme Entry?  In other words, populate the existing list with other Color Schemes -- named ones in this case -- and assign the new named color scheme.  The old name just wouldn't be "in use".

...then use your schedule approach to assign the names (from the drop-down) is necessary.

If that the case then I apologize for misunderstanding.

No need to apologize, but I appreciate it.  I can see how it could have been read that way. My bad too.

Hm. Ok. I think either way I have create new ones within the same scheme. However, somehow, having the ability to select all the areas of a particular name (ie let's say I want to select all the ones called "Type 3") then the schedule method comes in handy. I hope I understood correctly...
