removing text from imported revit blocks

I have several imported blocks that are showing up with some kind or label / tag text. I still want to view the block but I want to hide or remove the text. How do I do this?

Find out what layer they are on and turn that layer off in the visibility graphics.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Is the Text part of AutoCAD Dynamic Block?  Open the block in AutoCAD and modify it to remove the Attribute and then re-import it into Revit.  Might also be able to do a Partial Explode in Revit to get at it, but I wouldn't go that route if avoidable.

...personally, I'd recreate the block as a Revit Family and elements (by tracing over the linework) and get rid of the CAD altogether.

This is one of the pitfalls of using Autocad blocks in a Revit family.  You may not see the hidden info when inserted into a family but the Project turns all layers on and shows all options.  This is another reason it is suggested to have native Revit content only and not try to reuse Autocad info.
