Remove Unused Family Types of DirectShape in Revit?

Hi, is there a way to purge or remove unused types of DirectShapes?

it seems like the family type will keeps stay in project even if the element has been deleted..

Perform Purge and have a look at that particular Family in the Purge Dialog. If family types are greyed out, then they are used somewhere in the project and cannot be purged.

Hi, thanks for the reply,

but I've already searched on the categories of Mass, Generic Model and TopoSolid

where I created the Direct Shapes were been in the Purge Panel and Project Browser,

only the unused items in Mass showed up, the others were still invisible both in Purge Panel and Project Browser.

I don't know if its caused by the difference between Direct Shape created form Dynamo, RevitAPI and RiR,

or simply just a bug like the problem you cannot assign individual Material to a Direct Shape ...

Do you have IFC import, STEP import or Rhino inside Revit objects?

You can do it in Dynamo!
Adjust the Script to your needs,  but this one worked for deleting a type of Directshape from my Project:dynamodeletedirectshapetype.png
(The first node gave me a warning about the unique id of the element that may not be valid, which I ignored safely. It still executed exactly how I wanted it to)
