Remove unused dimension styles - Purge Unused doesn't work

I am creating a Revit template and am trying to clean out the dimension styles. I copied a detail in from another project, changed all the dimensions to my new styles, but the old style still remain. Purge Unused doesn't identify them. I have selected all instances and it says there is only 1 instance. I have searched to make sure nothing is hidden and can't find anything. How do I remove these dimension styles (all styles labeled "NOPE")? Dimension Styles.jpg

Are you sure there arent any dimensions hidden in any views? You can't purge something if its still in use.

Also, how have you got multiple styles with the same name? I didn't think that was possible. Have you tried renaming them to something different then purging?

I tried renaming them, no luck. I also checked hidden elements, etc. and can't find anything. "Select all instances" makes it seem like there aren't any. I also have no idea how there are multiple styles with the same name. I know these styles came from another Revit file because they showed up when I copied in a sheet of drafting view from another project.

I found a reddit thread with the same problem from a few years ago. The OP said he fixed it by puring each of the families loaded in the file until they were all gone. https://www.reddit.com/r/Revit/comments/42y39m/multiple_dimension_types_with_same_name_and_cant/

You can use Dynamo to do it: https://dynamonow.com/2018/03/19/delete-dimensions-by-index/

Wow. This is like your car maker telling you that you need to take your car to some obscure gas station in order to do routine maintenance. When will Autodesk address their messy software?

Wow, that was helpful.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

By the way, page with Dynamo graph "is not found". So there is no solution?

If he could search to get to that dynamo page then so can you.

Your link no longer works. Don't bring a terrible attitude. Be helpful and not condescending.
