Remove unloaded coordination models from Revit

Good Morning,

My team is having an issue with some "ghost" duplicate coordination models showing up in the project. Does anybody know a way I can remove these? Ghost Coordination ModelsGhost Coordination Models

They don't appear in Insert > Link > Coordination Model...

Insert > Link > Coordination ModelInsert > Link > Coordination Model

I'd say Revit was a chisel if it wasn't used as a hammer.

looks to me like they are linked into other linked files (nested).

Can you check if they are?

I don't believe so, but how could I definitively tell? Couldn't find the information I was looking for anywhere, maybe I'm searching the wrong thing.

For reference, this is Revit 2021 hosted on Bim360 if that changes anything.

I'd say Revit was a chisel if it wasn't used as a hammer.

Normally you can check the project browser -> Linked files section and expand all,

However that does not seem to work for .nwc/.nwd files unfortunately.

Do you also have .rvt models linked?

If so you should check them. (Without unloading them from the main model, just open a second session for Revit)

Unfortunately no dice, all of the revit links are clean. Very confusing.

I'd say Revit was a chisel if it wasn't used as a hammer.

Very odd. Love to hear what the team discovers.

@fdkuenneke

It appears in the second image you have posted...If you want it removed from visibility graphics you need to simply select it in the Coordination model dialogue and REMOVE(As long as the Coordination Model is in your .RVT model it will show in the VV graphics tab irrespective if it is loaded, not loaded or not found)

PS: all your coordination models seem to be not found. Meaning they have been either removed from the location under saved path or you do not have access to that drive...you might want to either reload them from whichever folder they have been moved to or check your folder access

But why  7 in the Coordination Model and 12 (all under parent nodes) in the VGO?

Sorry for the late reply,

The unloading is a quirk with using our fileshare, and as a detailer I don't want these coordination models loaded for when I export our own coordination views anyways. I should have loaded it for the screenshot.

To be clear, the issue we are having is that the model appears MULTIPLE times in our VV graphics. We want this nwc in the project, but removing or re-adding the model doesn't have the desired result:

UnloadedUnloadedLoadedLoaded
(unloaded)                                                                            (loaded)

Removing the coordination model from the Link menu only removes ONE of the models in the VV. Very frustrating.

I'd say Revit was a chisel if it wasn't used as a hammer.

Hi, same problem here, I can't delete the coordination model in the visibility settings even if all my models were remove.

So I went to a 3d view with no section box and turned on all the NWCs that weren't showing up and found that although they don't show, I can still select them. I then window selected everything and filtered out just the coordination models and deleted them. After that I purged all of them using the "Purge Unused" method in just the coordination model category.

Check the image. I cannot take credit for this reply. It was someone else that gave me the solution. However, it worked for me.

Have you checked to see if the multiple instances are perhaps 'linked' to worksets or design options?
Perhaps a user with a different workset has also linked the same file but to his/her workset.
