Remove Fill from Architectural Column Family

I vaguely remember doing something to add fill pattern in an architectural column family and now can't figure what I did, or how to remove it. These columns sometimes appear with the fill when loaded into a project and sometimes not. The family is attached if someone has the time to take a quick look. Thank you!

If you join a wall and an architectural column, and the wall has a coarse-scale fill pattern defined, the joined column assumes that pattern. Structural columns do not assume the walls fill pattern, even when joined.

To change the fill pattern:

Replace your column to a structural one.

or

Use one of the override options:

Thank you, but my issue is that the shading appears in the column family which would be independent of the project's coarse-scale fill pattern. I would like to why it is there in the family.

You mean this shade? it is a default material, just change the material
