Hi All
I received a DWG from a client but i dont know how to clean it up i think it is all in one block. When i import the file into revit 2019 it says it is 33 miles away ?? Not sure what this means.
I need to get the model to be at 0,0,0 ?
I need to do the light design by placing the fixtures on the right place then render in 3d and i fdo have the textures as well
Please help.
I am very very new to this
So here is the XYZ and NEZ from a random point in your model.
Does that look right to you? We don't know what your coordinates are, or are supposed to be.
The DWG is in WCS and the BASE is 0,0,0 - so that looks good.
Hi there
Thank you for the reply however i am not sure what to tell you, i know that when i import the file into revit is says the file is 33 miles away from the point and i cannot find it on my screen. Is there a way to reset all to zero so when i import i can just place it on zero on the axis?
Should i send a screen shot of the error? Or how can i clean it up in and correct in cad.
You need to set up Shared Coordinates.
Link the DWG into Revit Center to Center. Move the DWG to the correct x,y, and z position REALTIVE to the Revit Model. Go to Manage Tab=>Coordinates and press Acquire Coordinate and select the Linked DWG. Save the Revit Project/Shared Site Position.

This is an extraordinarily amount of data and extents. How much of it do you use in your Revit Project? What of the dozens of layers of information here are relevant to you for your purposes?

Bottom line: it's unmanageable as a whole.
