Referencing Sheet In Device Schedule

Hello,

I'm tying to recreate a standard schedule that our company has used for ages in Revit. One thing I've been unable to recreate, however, is for the schedule to display which sheets the elements are visible on. Does Revit allow this sort of information to be tracked in a schedule?  Will we just have to do this the old fashioned way?

I am not sure about when you mentioned Device Schedule in your post's title.

are we talking about electrical devices and panel/switchboard schedule or any kind of schedules?

At the moment I'm using a Communication Device schedule. For now there aren't many changes to the default schedule's outline. I'll use another schedule type if it makes my job easier or more feasible.

I suppose I would be looking for either a parameter or schedule type to help me, though.

I am not that familiar with Communication device schedule, I will take a look at it to see how far can we go. For now I know that assemblies are the only element that could show at what Sheet when the assembly view is created.

Interesting. We don't work with assemblies and it's not something that I was familiarized with during my CAD curriculum. Can communicaiton devices become part of asemblies?

Anything could be an assembly, When You create a sheet schedule, assembly and sheet Parameter are available.

Let me see what is the best workflow i could provide. I am testing it right now, once they are assembly you need to use Tab to be able to select the device and create a circuite etc.

I will show you shortly on how the workflow could be done and then on your side you may need to doublecheck to see if there will be any design or analytical limitation to this.

Otherwise this sound more like an enhancement feature

After looking into Assemblies myself I do find that they may not be the solution I am looking for. Ideally I wish to place a plan view with the devices showing onto a sheet and then have the schedule reference which sheets those devices are referenced on. I would not wish to set up a plethora of separate views.

Also note that we are not working with circuits. These blocks all lack connector ports and wiring parametric. Such information is beyond the scope of my firm's work.

I don't know any Automatic way other than using the assembly. I do understand the need but Revit doesn't have this Automatic option for now. You may need to double check if there is a 3rd party addin that does it but i doubt it.

This sounds like an enhancement feature that needs to be logged to the development team. On my side, I will escalate that to the development team but I also suggest you to do the same via the link below, since enhancement feature goes by importance and how many people is logging the same feature.

Thank you your your help in the matter. For now we'll simply have to do it the old fashioned way. Manually.
