Warning in the model that reference plane is slightly off axis and may cause inaccuracies, however the reference plane cannot be selected and is invisible. When I hide everything below it, you still can't select/ move it. Is this a big issue? Any help is appreciated.
Most of the time it's a non-issue. But you've been warned. I see many "slightly off axis" when tracing CAD. Most I can get away with.
Yeah that’s what it will be from,I traced a CAD drawing for my Site Plan,CAD drawing has been removed now
One thing to note is that you can't pulled a dimension between a straight RP and a slightly off axis RP. FWIW.
If I drag the reference plane it removes the warning.Would you suggest dragging the reference plane?
It removes the Warning for it from the Review Warnings List? If so, that seems strange. Is it possible you straightened it when you moved it? I need more info. Can you put a revision cloud around it in the view and post the file?
Infact, it happened a few days before the CAD was imported, one file doesn’t show any warnings yet all the ones after it do,any guess why?
It's a curious situation. Not an alarming one. Still, I could better advise you if I could examine the file. It is not necessary to post an entire project or proprietary content. Just the relevant portion. One easy way to do that, is by grouping the relevant content, locate the Named Group in the Project Browser, right-click on it and press "Save Group" in the right-click drop-down menu. This saves the Group to it's own RVT which you can post here. Afterwards, you can Ungroup the Source Group in the Project.
So, you are saying you can't include the rogue RP it in the Group?
Also, let's back up. You say the RP is movable -- but not selectable or visible. Is that right? Is it part of an In-Place Modeled Component? Also, you mentioned that the Warning is removed when you moved it. Does that mean it was removed from Review Warnings on the Manage Tab?
I think I may have found the problem! When this railing is deleted,in all versions of the model with this warning, the warning of “Reference plane is slightly off and may cause inaccuracies” goes, and it’s element ID cannot be found. The first file to have this warning was when this railing was added too!I will remove it from the model now,it might be because it’s reference host is a curved slope it might find hard to reference or something.
