Realistic Rendering engine for revit

Hi, Can I know the free rendering engines for revit which offer more realistic look than revit does? Or is there any user-friendly Autodesk software which can be used to render the revit models (Except 3ds max) ?

What's wrong with Revit?

Perhaps the issue is related to the Materials/Assets you are using?

I'm not aware of free ones, but Twinmotion and Enscape are excellent solutions.  You can at the least get free trials.

I agree with  @barthbradley  though that you should review your material appearance assets, as the quality of the render out of Revit or any other product depends largely on the materials you apply.

Other than the planting components being absolute garbage. There are no free revit rendering software add-ons. Best one out there I have used is Lumion. It's like a dream. Expensive though

Is this what we're talking about? Photorealistic content? If so, the OP might want to check out ArchVision.  After all, they are in partnership with Autodesk.  That's who authors Revit's OOTB "RPC" content.  But, this wouldn't have anything to do with "Rendering Engine".  Maybe @Hasith.Palanege can elaborate the question?

Yes, It may happen due to the materials. most of the time I cannot see good render appearance in the grass.  Is there a solution for that?

As above mentioned, you can get those live renderer. If you want to go free route rendering, you can check blender. Blender able to read FBX and IFC exported from Revit.

Revit's Rendering Engine is pretty darn impressive.  But like with anything, GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out).  It's really more about the Materials and Assets used. If you really want to improve your Renderings, use PBR (Physically Based Rendering) Assets.  I would encourage you to research PBR.  There's a boatload of information on the subject just a keyword search away.   I think you will be amazed.

Here's a place to start from. Not the best AU presentation, best it'll introduce you to some concepts and terms that will aid you in your research.

Good luck!
