Realistic Elevations - Window Transparency

Anyone know a quick hack to give glass a nice shaded color that is VISIBLE in realistic views and prevents objects from showing behind it?

Please note that I have tried all the simple solutions available in the material browser. I have also tried overriding the graphics.

Here is a screen shot. I can't figure out how the two windows on the left and right appear this way. I would like them all to have that appearance.

Are you able to see objects behind those windows?

No. You cannot see through window glass on an elevation, only 3D.

I can always see through window glass in 2d realistic elevations...as you can see from my screenshot. Revit Update with 2021?

Seems like a rvt21 update. If the family opening cut is checked for elevation transparency in the family it will now also show in realistic mode as see-through, depending on the glass material ofcourse. For transparency with other visual styles you would uncheck the glass' subcategory.

So actually your answer would be to edit the family, select the opening cut and uncheck the transparency for elevations.

Nice Job, thank you! This works for some of my families. Some, however, don't have opening cuts, they have void extrusions. What do I do for those?

I suppose you could nest them into a family that does or place a family with non-transparent opening cut behind it?
