I am changing a camera view to Ray Trace and the tile floor is only showing a strip of tile and the rest is black.
any clues?
thank you.
Sounds like the render appearance assigned to that element is wrong or missing.
Try setting Phase Filter of the view to Show Complete.

But you are not talking about Realistic. You talking about Photorealistic. Two different animals. Try playing with your photographic exposure and lighting settings. Sounds like they need some adjustments/finessing.
Yep, I see a big red circle in one, but not the other. Cool.
Seriously though, what are you trying to show me with this comparison. I can't tell much because of their postage stamp sizes.
Looks like the material map is not rendering correctly in the raytrace view.
Try adjusting the lighting/exposure ( less bright) and see if the map displays at all.
in the ray trace, the strip of floor (within the red) going across is not being tiled unlike the realistic version.
Actually, within the floor, the material was tiling horizontally but not vertically.
still need to adjust the glazing. sorry, this is my first "realistic rendering" using Revit.
No need to apologize. Rendering looks pretty good though. Not bad for first time. Good job.
