Rasterized prints look bad

I understand that Revit rasterizes images when using shadows. But why does it look this bad :enttäuschtes_Gesicht:

Is there a setting that I'm missing to get rid of all that noise, or is this just how rasterizing works?

Hi,

Vector Processing: this method uses formulas to make lines and curves so that when u zoom in on a PDF file it remains smooth. Also, this method produces smaller PDF files and is faster than Raster Processing.

Raster Processing: this method will use individually drawn pixels, which makes a lower quality output compared to Vector Processing. Furthermore, Revit will automatically choose Raster Processing if the views contain one of the conditions written below:

  • The view contains an image or decal
  • The view contains a point cloud
  • The view use Shading or Realistic style
  • The view use shadows, gradients, sketchy lines, or depth cueing

How did you generate that image like...:
-Is it a small detail of a printout to pdf?
-Is it a render
-Export to Image?

What is the source of the picture:
-Is it an image?
-Is it a Revit family?

Maybe you can upload your source file, then we can give better advice.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Set Raster print to Presentation and increase the output DPI.
