How to make ramp siding (see attached) I don't want to use floor and add points, I need the ramp as generic family I already tried, I used extrusion but I have difficulties doing the two sides as shown in the screenshot. Any help appreciated. Thank you

Maybe the easiest way to construct is to make it in the massing environment.
-Draw triangles in all three baseplanes
-Connect every oblique line and create form
It is however also possible in a generic model family:
-Create one triangular solid
-Create two voids to cut the sides of the solid (you need an angular void to obtain your result)
hello, thank you for your reply, i cannot open your file im using Revit 2018.
Okay, here is a screenshot, follow these steps:
-Draw three points in floorplan, one at the intersection of axis and two at each of the axis.
-Go to 3D and Elevate the point created at the intersection.
-Draw reference lines in a chain and 3Dsnapping on (top bar)
-Select all reference lines and create form
-To make it parametric, create dimensions between axis and points you use to reference.
... you can create it as a MODEL IN-PLACE family
.... you need to use sweep blend and draw the requiered shape

Then I would recommend to draw a litte rectangle in both sweeps below the reference line ánd create a void to cut off the material you don't need. Nonetheless, clever solution!

Hello is there anyway you can show me in screencast tutorial on how to do the ramp with 2 siding on both sides as shown in my screenshot above so I can try to put parameter in massing. If can, If cannot its fine with me. Thank you
... hi @Anonymous
... go to level 1
... component
... model in place
.... choose generic model (or the one you need / want
.... click OK
.... rename it
... click ok
..... choose SWEPT BLEND
.... first ....Sketch path
... click ok
.... start the line on the top part to know where will be the first profile
... click ok
....go to the north elevation
... select profile 1
... and draw it the way you want
.... after finish click OK
.... now repeat the profile process for the second one
.... draw a thin rectangle
... click OK
.... now click OK... and finish your family
.... go to your 3dview
... done
....

@aRcHiTeCt.JMthank you for your step by step explanations . very much appreciated, but sorry to say that is not i wanted it to be. please file attached.
Hi
Ramp can be sloped ONLY is ONE direction.. ( exception is circular ramp )
because of that constraint it will be impossible to model that portion.
You may use
1. Inplace family, and model that potion
2. Floor with " modify sub-elements"
3. Adaptive family with parameters
4. Use Floor for the ramp, and floor edge to model that.
5. use one single floor and " edit/modify sub elements"
Floor - Modify sub elements
Hi, I have already done that, but the ramp structure is embedded into floor slab which is not good for presentation for construction which not going to happen in reality. Thank you
anyway, how i can make this one solid, i missing something , i tried but i cannot make it as solid. thanks you
@Corsten.Aucan you please explain step by step procedure and cut a section view based on my screenshot above. thank you
Inplace Family - Extrusion by profile
Void - use Blend - Modelling - Base
Void - Modelling - top
Adjust top and bottom void profile the get Plan right... Idea is to generate a tilted plane to cut the ramp...its easy to create in adaptive family but here its easy to create using Blend option
Rather than create a solid outside the ramp profile - you need to create a void to cut from the ramp..
changing that extrusion to void...
can post this file and family. or if possible screencast . i want to see. thank you
I have posted 4 files.. to understand steps..
check out the 4th..
1. you need one void to get the PLAN profile right
2. another void at angle
