Railings

Can someone tell me how to get the top and bottom rail to stop at the post instead of continuing going through the post.  this also happens when i have multiple posts in a run of railing, also when the railing is on the stairs.  I want the top and bottom rails to stop at the post, not continue through it or stop at the center of the post.

Rails always run pass the posts. You can set the start and end post offset to mitigate it but not for the intermediate posts. Make your rail profiles slightly smaller than the post so that you don't see the overlapping geometry.

If you wanna stop the Railing at post, then Don't create that Railing type using  any " RAIL "

Use only

1. Baluster

2. Rail using Baluster panel family so that that panel ( which looks like Rail ) will stop between posts

3. Start Post, last post , corner post...

Just  a tip if this helps . .Railing can be created using curtain walls as well... these walls can

acts as a room bounding and keeps the model simple cause theres no requirement of Room separation

lines in balcony etc wherever Curtain walls are used as railings..
