Railing query

I am trying to create a domestic staircase and having trouble connecting the balustrade handrail to the intermediate newel / post.

It keeps running over the post rather than into it (see below) can anyone help?

Your stair runs into the wall before turning the corner - you need a landing where that post is.

I think it is a winding stair.

Handrail and Top rail are continuous members so they are running over and around posts.  If you want the handrail run into a post then you may need to configure a non-continuous rail to be a handrail.

Any idea why the stringer may be missing on the same stair?

Not sure but you can edit the stair and add a new one in.
