Hello, I am trying to build a railing that uses custom panels representing a fence. Revit has initially respected the panel types I've been working with, but now it is disobeying a panel with a different height. I've created a new family type where I have fixed the height of the panel. But when I choose this panel in the railing pattern definition, Revit ignores the correct panel and defaults to a size not specified. Since there are no other settings that I can see that can affect the height of panel despite the definition from the family, is this a glitch in the app that may need repair? Or is there something else that I am missing?

Nevermind. I saw my mistake in the posted family: I had to ensure that the default height was the same for all types. Autodesk should make this parameter available in the project environment though. It is cumbersome to have to edit the family every time a type with different parameters are created.
Built-in dimension parameters can only be changed between Instance and Type via properties on the Ribbon.
