Use a Landing Height Adjustment and Connector.
It's going to require some finessing...
But, how do i know those values? Thanks
Finesse it. Play around with values until it looks right. Or, if you are so inclined, use Ref. Planes in Elevation/Section View to find the exact perpendicular distance to the intersections of the slopes.
You put another segment. Is not possible to move the end of the flat part?
All I did was add a Landing Height Adjustment and Connector as shown in screenshot. Revit did the rest of the work.
Impossible for me. I do not think that being guessing hours trying to find a value and praying for revit to do it good, I do not think it is a way of drawing at all. When somebody draws and desing wants to know and control what he is doing not just getting impredecible results. Thanks
Edit Sketch and extend lines here:
Is it understandable?
But before, you said that you did not do anything lik that, so now you talk about extending lines..... Anyway, extending that, is kind of tricky, it is not real world. I do not have to be guessing what to do to be able to draw something. I think revit it is not good for designing at all. Not good for drawing. Thanks
Sorry but I am hating this software, things are not clear at all.
Here, I did some cleanup by modifying the Rail Joins on the Top Rail. Do you know how to access those tools?
And, even, it does not work as you say, sorry, hours trying to solve a so easy and usual thing. It is not worth it. Thanks
Dude, there are easier things to do in life. Try Brain Surgery.
...or just marry someone wealthy and call it a day.
try to save energy and stop saying that kind of stupid things, thanks for the help anyway
OK, to be fair, just by applying the railing connectors and a landing height adjustment, my railing did not look as smooth as @barthbradley railing in his image. Was there something extra you might have done @barthbradley that you may not have thought about?
If i add those connectors and then edit the railing sketch, i get a slightly cleaner result:
@Anonymous have you tried both of these options together? It isn't perfect yet, but this situation is not always easy on any stairs.
@barthbradley in the 9th message, you have a nice smooth transition from the upper rail and i can see the split line where you have edited the rail path, but i cannot get the same results you have. perhaps a screencast video of what you did would help?
i can edit the path to add segments, but not remove some. i've tried to adjust the railing sketch path in a variety of ways, as well as match the other railing properties you have shown. i don't think this is as simple as you imply.
