Using Revit 2022 - my project has several balcony groups which consist of a floor, a railing, and a wall for the balcony fascia. When the floor is shape-edited (in group edit mode) to provide drainage, after exiting group edit mode the position of the railing has shifted in plan by 1' along the direction of the railing sketch in some instances of the group, but not others. (The railing is hosted to the floor, both elements within the group.) There is no error/warning about "group instances are not identical", and all instances of the group show identical properties in the properties window, but they are not identical. There isn't any kind of "reset group" capability provided in the UI - the only "solution" seems to be to delete the corrupted group instances and replace them with correct ones, not a very reliable or efficient approach since it requires inspecting the entire project to find the problem groups. Any ideas how to prevent this bug?
Hi
have you tryed with constraints?with this if you move a floor line who is the restriction for the railing, railing will move with that line.
Dimension constraint
alignment or picklines lock
