Railing Baluster Control

Is there anyway to control the specific Baluster Locations with a Railing?  I recently learned a little trick with the railing that you could in effect add a new corner post in a straight line segment by just using the Split Element tool, and that at each break a new corner post would emerge.  This worked great for solving along running problem I've had using Railings as a Fence on a site plan.

So now I'm onto my next problem.  Getting the exact baluster spacing and configuration I want.  In a way the have this with the Curtain Wall Tool, as you can specifically set a grid line and establish a very specific mullion pattern, and even change which profile you want at which intersection.  But so far the only Baluster Control I seem to have is through the Rail Dialog menu, which frankly is marginal at best, and always becomes this game of trial and error to make it work.

Any ideas?  I've attached an image showing what I'm trying to achieve

You can alternate baluster types under baluster placement table.

Pretty much, sadly, what it took was independently splicing out each of the different railing chunks and just messed with the different settings until I got the desired result.  Just wish it was a little more like the Curtain Wall tool, because I would've been done in twenty minutes, instead of an hour of dicking around with the settings to get the right configuration at each different location.

Thank you
