Radeon Pro Confusion

Hello,

I have a question about Radeon Pro graphic cards. If you go to Autodesk Certified Hardware Page, and search for a "Recommended" graphics card for Revit 2018 on Windows 10 64bit, you will get "No results were found. Modifying your selections may return better results" . If you search for "Certified" graphic cards, you get list of AMD Radeon Pro WX cards. However, if you select any of them, it says it is failed in every compatibility category, completely (see attachment). How can this be? This confused me very much. Also, I found this post to be not very promising:

Thank you in advance. Kind regards, Alex

Not sure what's going on with their compatibility site for graphics cards.  This site needs to be revised and updated because it seems to be outdated.

Thank you @dzanta for a quick respond!

This situation is somewhat weird with compatibility.

If it's ok to ask here, for a small architectural company (10-15p) switching to Revit, is it better to go with professional graphics card, or use gaming cards? I'm really struggling to find clear information about that.

after using Revit for 10 years on various computers....

best cards to use are nVidia Quadro 5000 or higher...2GB RAM minimum on graphics card

Xeon processors if you can afford them....otherwise Intel i7 (3.0ghz) or higher

16GB RAM minimum...recommend maxing out RAM on box

SSD drive...no spinning drive (I have a DELL XPS 15 with 512GB PCI M.2 Samsung card...stupid fast)

1920 x 1080 HD display (Revit doesn't like higher resolutions still)

if you have to work and travel and present the Revit model...go with laptop

if you sit on your butt all day...get a workstation (DELL Precision Line)

Gaming cards have issues with displaying Revit model still....but they are wicked nice for gaming! (I have a nVidia GeForce GTX 960M on my XPS)

I have a Quadro 5100m on my work laptop (which is NOT compatible with Revit 2016 or higher)....go figure (but it works well enough)

depending on your budget:

$1500 for a decent desktop

$2000 for a decent laptop

$3000 for a serious desktop

$4000 for a serious laptop

17" laptops are big and heavy....good if you are strong...I am not

15" laptops are portable and don't weigh too much for travel

if you get desktops....use a HD monitor (preferrable 30" diagonal or higher)...or multiple monitors....
