"Unrecoverable error" message preventing Revit from opening

Every time I try to open Revit, I get "An unrecoverable error has occurred. The program will now be terminated.  All of your data has been recently saved, so there is no need to create recovery files.  Select Help or press F1 for more information on possible causes of unrecoverable errors."  The first time I saw this I had just opened a project; then I couldn't see my model, and this error message appeared.  Now it's happening when I try to open the software.  I can't open anything.

Did you install any add-ins?  If so, uninstall them one by one and see if the error goes away.  if not, you might have to do a repair install or uninstall/reinstall of revit.

I saw a solution online that said to remove the add-ins by placing them in another folder outside of the Revit folder, and then trying to open the program again.  This didn't work.

I just googled the repair install and will try this now.

When I try to repair the Revit file, Windows Installer says, "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."  Windows Programs and Features says, "The installation source for this product is not available.  Verify that the sources exists and that you can access it."

It cannot find the installation files. Just re-download it and run.

Before you go for repairs/uninstalls and installs, try to troubleshoot as described on the following link "An unrecoverable error has occurred. The Program will now be terminated." when launching Revit products | Revit Products | Autodesk Knowledge Network

When opening a model do not open it from windows explorer. Open Revit first then Open the model through the file menu

Do you know how to check if my laptop is unable to support Revit?  Installation was very long last time, and I wonder if this is part of the problem.
