I'm experiencing some problems with an IFC-file that I've opened in Revit 2016. I did it several times without any problems but the latest one just doesn't work.
I get the error message "Too many elements missing, contact Autodesk support". I did found one similar question here on the forum and I tried the solution in that one but I didn't work. The tip I got there was to open the old file, find the missing elements by searching for their ID, and just copy paste them, but I couldn't find them in the old model either. I can't visually see any problems with the model, probably just room separations or something like that.
Anyone have a clue what to do about this? The file was opened in various different softwares with no problems.
Essentially the file itself is corrupt or it could be a link in the model.
I would try opening the file with audit and detached somewhere that it can't reach the links to test.
If that doesnt' work and you have a working up to date local file that you can make the new central file that will likely be the fastest fix. If you are on subscription with Autodesk you can log into your subscription account and submit a case to see if they can repair the file.
If you are able to create a new central file then make sure that all users delete or archive your current local model and it's associated backup folder prior to pulling a new local file.
Also all users should be on the same build/update of Revit.
See if you have a working backup copy that is the best bet...so find one of your modelname.000#.rvt and save that as your new working model.
