Hi,
I was setting up my Revit file to print today, and it just shut down. When I went to re-open my project, it said "The file cannot be opened. There are too many missing elements in it." Its a very important file- is there anyway to get it back?? Thank you!
you can try this: http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2018/ENU/?guid=GUID-9AFAAE6B-4107-4478-8B80-53467FE118DB
Do you have a back up of the file?

Try opening with Audit. Check Journal files for the missing elements. Check to see if you have corrupt families - if families are corrupt you will not be able to open with Audit.
Do some housekeeping - clear your local files, clear your %temp% folder, empty Recycle Bin, restart machine.
