Perhaps this issue has been addressed but so far I have not found a solution. I have the most current build version of Revit 2017 and I have created a new detail tag just to be sure. Here is the problem:
I place a Section - Detail tag. I want to place text in the Reference Label text entry. However, nothing displays in either the model view or the sheet view for this tag type. 2016 works fine. 2017 not at all.
I have looked at this from all available levels. I even tried to see if I could get Dynamo to force the label to display. This seems like a coding issue in the program.
Anyone else experienced this problem? Any solution(s)?
Thanks,
John
I don't have any problems showing it with the OOTB tag. Can you post your Section Head family used for the Detail Section type?
I have been using the OOTB tag (Callout Head.rfa). And the Default template. The only thing that was changed for the tag is the font: Arial to Arial Narrow.
Attached is the OOTB and an alternative I created as well. I think I had read changing the graphics for the tag helped one person with this same issue! Please let me know anything you come up with.
Thanks for your help,
John
It works fine here. I only fixed the Detail Number to the correct label. But the SIM shows correctly on the callout referencing other view.
Thanks, That is good to know. I just re-booted the computer. Let you know what happens. Thanks for the fix ...
You are aware that the SIM label only appears for Call-outs referencing other Views, not the original ones, right?
Yes ... we just checked a couple of other computers and I think we may have narrowed the issue. I found a staffer working in the Central file. Answers one part but not the other.
Thank you so much for your help,
John
The central file issue was resolved and not too much data loss. And the callout tag that had been replaced during that period did not have a reference label. I performed an edit on the tag; added the label but the issue persisted. What I ended up doing was delete the callout head in the project (broke a few links doing that) and replaced it with the repaired tag. Now it seems to be working as expected.
What a process!
Thanks again for your help,
John
