Got an error that doesn't seem to have anything to do with what I'm working on...
I've got a condition where there's a scupper and downspout intersecting a cornice on the back side of a building.
So, I create an in-place generic model component that's just a rectangular void to cut the cornice around the scupper.
I use "Cut Geometry" clicking the void and then the cornice. The cornice is a Wall Sweep element. The cut initially appears to be successful.
Then I click "Finish Model" and get this error, which feels like a total non-sequitur, but is preventing me from completing the cut.
There's an obvious workaround where I just use a different profile family for the sweep in that one spot. I just want to know what this means and why it's showing up now?
A wall sweep is a system family.
Also, if the issue is with the family being cut, why is the error message talking about copying a selection?
