"MOVE WITH DIM LINE" text offset distance

How do I decrease the distance between the dimension text and the extension lines of the dimension.

To the red line? Change Text Offset value.

@barthbradley Pick a dimension style, set the text offset to something dramatic that's easy to see. Draw a horizontal dimension (large enough that the dimension text is still set between the extension lines), then 'move w/ dim line", then from your properties, decrease your text offset. Does the text move horizontally?
