Hello @Anonymous

  1. One can't make a parameter just on its own. One can either make a parametric family or one has an existing family to which one can add additional parameters.
  2. You need to specify also where or how are you intending to report/display this parameter? on the drawing as in a tg? or in a schedule?
  3. Mark and Type Mark are already built in parameters in most categories...what else do you need to add to those in terms of information?

Check those links out for more info on how to create/add parameters to a family

Conduits have an instance-based Mark parameter, out of the box.  Can you not use that?

If not, you will need to add a Project Parameter to your project (Manage ribbon tab > Settings panel > Project Parameter) that applies to the Conduits category.  If you need the value in this parameter to appear in a tag, you will need to make it a Shared Parameter.  If the value varies for each instance of Conduit, then select the Instance radio button, not the Type radio button.
