I deleted a folder for Communicator based on some post I found somewhere on the forum, because I couldn't log in, and I couldn't get Communicator to stop opening with Revit. Now, when I open Revit, I get an error popup saying that some file can't be found so Communicator isn't loaded. Fine. But when I click on "Do not show this message again" it still shows every time. Why, Autodesk? Why do you make your products so annoying?
Edited: I forgot Autodesk is notorious for useless checkboxes, such as the "Stay signed in" one, which has never, ever worked.
That's what I did, which itself was a mess. Spent an hour on the phone with support, with them unable to explain why Revit wouldn't reinstall. Turns out, the installer said it wasn't installed, but it was. For both 2018 and 2019. Autodesk products are just garbage lately.
That definitely sounds like a pickle. Did you use the Autodesk Uninstaller or add/remove programs?
I used add/remove programs to remove every single product that mentioned Revit, then used the Autodesk installer to reinstall both version of Revit. The installer is what kept saying there was an error and Revit couldn't be installed, even though it was.
