I have a Revit 2018 file that isn't giving me any error messages when I open it, everything works normally in this file. However when I try to use the etransmit function things start to get messed up. First off when I try to etransmit with my Revit and CAD links it refuses. But even when I try to transmit without those links and it says the operation was successful, the resulting file is impossible to open and I get the error message from the title of my post. I've tried auditing my file, but the audited file behaves no differently than the original (successfully exports the file and then I can't open the exported file). I'm at my wit's end. I've had my IT guy look at this and he thought he fixed it when we discovered that it says it was successful so long as I didn't export with links and he hasn't been much help since we found out that didn't actually fix the problem. Please help, I'm up against a deadline and I need to share this file with my consultants.
have you try to install latest updates from autodesk. try to audit all your links file and try again. if not use WETRANSFER to share your files to other consultant it's free of charge. thanks
Hello @Anonymous, thank you for the question and welcome to the Autodesk forum!
I found the following article that looks similar to what you are seeing: "A serious error has occurred" when opening an e-transmitted model in Revit
If you check the Revit journal do you see lines as described in the article?
