Question about working with links

Hello - a question about working with links on a larger project. I am working on an athletic center where I have my gym as a separate file linked into the "master" Revit project. All well and good, and this is the workflow we are planning on for several other areas in the project. I am wondering, though, about the best way to coordinate the walls of other areas in each file. I assume I shouldn't have circular files (with the "master" Revit file also linked into the Gym file in this case). So when I am working in the gym link, how do I see the surrounding walls, doors, etc. from the "master" file that may have changed since the last time I opened the link? Do I need to keep copying in the latest walls from the "master" file? I need to sometimes see these other walls, doors, etc. in my link so I can work out the doors, windows, etc. in the gym link. How does everyone go about this?

Thanks!

Circular files are no problem, Revit will understand that when linking the master model it should hide/remove the gym. This is inevitable, same goes for structural engineers that want the architectural model and vice versa.

Linking the models using Overlay instead of Attachment then you will have no circular issues.
