Hello,
I have a question regarding my Revit subscription. Currently, I am using my personal email for my subscription, but I have a new client who requires Collaboration Pro, and they will be covering the subscription costs.
Your guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
IMHO changing the email associated with your own Revit seat with every new client/project and every is not advisable. Normally on most projects and for less hassle, we use our own licenses and bill the costs accordingly. They simply invite you to their project as a team member and you bring your license along with you.
Alternatively, if they already have reserved seats for Collaborate Pro on their account, they can invite you on your current personal ID to their project and assign that seat to your current Autodesk ID (no new email required).
I have rarely seen cases where the Client would they grant you a corporate email along with the license seat because that would expose them to unnecessary risks and liabilities. And in such cases they would normally be providing you with the license seat for both Revit and Collaborate Pro for several other reasons not cost related
What advice should you give them...If they are managing already the cloud model, they should have someone who knows what to do. As long as the license seat is assigned to the right ID and they know which part of the project they wish to grant you access to (their model or a specific shared space where specific models are published to specific team) everything should work fine
