Query on arrays and adjustable

Hi,

newish user of Revit, just started delving into the inner workings of it after being an avid Solidworks user. I have this Furniture family that I want to be adjustable via parameters in all aspects (depth, width, height, number of shelves and subsequently shelf depth). Currently, I have achieved all of these bar the width, when the array for the shelves refuses to adjust shape.

Does anyone know why this is? Potential solutions?

You need to align and lock the Array.

Here, check this out.  Might need some TLC, but the gist of it is there.

Create the drawer as as separate family with all dimension instance parameters, nest it in the cabinet family, associate dimension parameters with the cabinet parameters, then array it.  After array, lock the second array element to ref planes to constrain the array.

Let me guess. You couldn't open the family I slaved over for God knows how long?   Same solution; just prettier packaging.
