I have been researching for a good day now and can't figure out a method;
Goal:
One long Quantity Schedule, pulling doors, furniture, lighting, casework, plumbing fixture, etc. This information would be sorted by room.
I made a shared property for most spec' items to type in a 'room'. Can I use the actual room area tool as a way to 'select all' within its perimeter, instead?

....edit. Yep, I'm still thinking that there is an application here for Room Aware Families.

When you create the schedule, go to Filed tab and you can choose Room or Space fields.
Not sure if you need a shared property (depending on the category of the room contents). I made this one doing what I think you are after (it included categories of all the elements you listed). This was just putting the items OOTB into the room and then making a multi-category schedule.
Maybe I misunderstood what you are after?
Yep, exactly what I was talking about...I think. You activated Room Calculation Point in Family; right?
Nevermind. I was way over-thinking it.

Yes. I did not "activate" it though. It just "is".
Just a matter of selecting parameters from room as Toan showed. The room calculation points are always "active" so to speak. You just have to tell the schedule to look at them.
