Our Interiors Department likes to use image files placed within schedules (Finish, Furniture, Signage, etc.). We are finding that when users run the Purge Unused tool, Revit considers those as unused even though they are placed into a Schedule, and they are deleted. This could easily be hundreds of image files that would then need to be reloaded back into the project. That takes a lot of time.
I've sent the appropriately stern message to not indiscriminately use this tool, but it does still happen occasionally.
Short of placing the images on a dummy sheet that is not included in the Sheet Index, is there a better way to lock these images?
Ideally, Revit would treat them as used if they are inserted into a Schedule.
Odd. I can't seem to replicate what you are describing. What version of Revit is this happening in?
2019. Not sure if it's happened in other versions or not. We are using an Image Parameter and then loading an image using the Manage Images tool. Even though they are placed in a schedule, they are not considered used in Revit and can be purged if not de-selected. The images are actually selected twice - once in the Raster Images area, and again in the Decals area. Don't see a Manage Images tool in 2021.
