Propagate Extents for Grids

Even though I modify grids at one view, every view is affected. Why is that so? How can I can I kind of cancel propagating extents to other views? Even though they are unchecked at the list of propagate extent settings.

There should be a little "3D" by the grid. If you click that it becomes "2D" which actually means "View Specific". Once it's set to 2D, the extents of the grid lines are only for that specific view.

Propagate Extents is a different function.
