Projection lines print on top of cut lines in section views

I noticed on one of my recent projects that projection lines in my wall sections are showing up on top of cut lines (images attached).  In this particular project, all projection lines in wall sections are set to line weight 1 and light gray color.  The thin gray lines (which belong to walls beyond, or the end of the wall that is cut in some cases) overlay the top of the thicker cut lines.  These projection lines really shouldn't show up at all, but there they are.  They are not visible in Revit, but only begin to show this way in print preview, as well as printed views.  I found a couple of posts online of other users experiencing the same issue as far back as 2008, but nothing to fix the issue.  I've checked the following:

-It's not inherent in the view template, as it happens using different templates with different properties applied, as well as with no template at all.

-It's not specific to a single model, or even a version of Revit.  I was able to replicate the issue in multiple files, in Revit 2022, 2023, and 2024.

-It happens whether printed to PDF, exported to PDF, or printed in a hard copy.

 -Silhouettes are turned off.

Although I haven't found a solution to this, there are a few workarounds, but they have some significant downsides.  As one of the old posts said, printing in raster avoids the issue.  I found that to be true, but the down side is your drawings look like garbage when you zoom in on a PDF.  Using depth cueing also makes the issue go away, but prints in raster as well.  It is possible to linework the projection lines by tab selecting them, but this can get unwieldly depending on how many wall sections you have, and how complex the wall profiles are.  Leaving projection lines black renders the issue moot, as the projection lines don't show up when they're the same color as the cut lines.  However, this makes the drawing not read as well.  Putting the correct lines in front is a pretty basic drafting standard.  Has Revit really been unable to do that for all these years?  Or has someone found a solution to this?

I had also the same  problem and the only solution was to enable the "Region edges mask coincident lines" in the PDF Export setting.

This does appear to largely solve the issue.  I actually spoke with Autodesk at length about this over the phone after the original post, and they didn't ever suggest this solution, which is surprising.  There are still some lines that show up on top that shouldn't (see attached image), but it's not a complete overlay like it was before.  It works the same in print was well as export.
