I have a relatively new co-worker who has started a project using the wrong template. The model is about 50% - too far to start over but it will take me days to setup all the sheet layouts, legends, schedules etc. that we have built into the template. I know I can transfer project standards but that doesn't include the items I mentioned.
Is there anyway to backload a project template? Please, I know it should have been done on the front end but we are past that.
I've thought of copy / paste the model into the template but fear what that will do to the levels and such.
I've also thought of simply linking the model into the proper template but because the model will still need some work I don't thing this is a good idea (I don't want to maintain the two files)
There has to be an easier way! HEEEEELP!
(Using Revit 2017 if it matters)
Thanks
David

Transfer Project Standards still is the best option in this case. About empty sheets, legends and schedules, you can transfer those by using Insert views from file.
If you have not started documenting the project, or not too far into it, then you can link it to a clean templated project and bind.
Transfer standards works for the most parts, except for Legends. You will have to copy the content of a legend from one project and paste onto the legend view of the other. Any graphic overrides would need to be redone. Then repeat.
It's really a case by case basis.
Thank you - this got me probably 90% of the data I wanted & saved me a ton of time.
Thank you. I went with Alfredo Medina's suggestion simply because I saw it first. It got me the majority of the things I was looking for & using the 'insert from file' option actually included schedules & legends. I will file your suggestion away for future use though. Thanks again for the assist.
