Project North Not Working

Hello,

Recently I have noticed an issue with all of my projects where the Project North established is different when creating new plans and cannot be modified/changed.

Currently I have old plans that are set at the correct Project North. When I change the orientation in the Properties from Project North - True North - back to Project North it rotates it and does not allow me to change it back.

has anyone else encountered this issue??

Thanks,

...so you've entered a Angle from True North in the Project Base Point Coords?

Hi

One of the possibilities of view orientation is Crop Region rotation.

Sometime people rotate Crop region and fix the view.. which creates problem.

Correct way is use either Project North, or True North..

this is not gonna fix the solution you are looking for though.. but I hope you ll know what to do further..

Cheers

Most of our projects start with project north as top of the screen, given the building plan orientation matching the xoy grid, and rotate the noth symbol to correct angle, given no big deal about solar or window shading being mentioned. When it being mentioned, we change the orientation of the true north on the site plan first, then select plan north for the rest of the views, as instructed by Revit Basic Knowledge, somewhere here. Perhaps you can see how we did it, and do a reverse engineer. Just my 2c.
