Hi I am looking for some advice on setting up each new project when you have a site or topo import. When I import my site dwg it is already oriented true North, which is good thats how I would like to present it after I have finished the design.
The photo on the right is after I have rotated Project North so I can work Square with the bottom boundary of the site plan. However there is a problem which I hope to get help with, when I start adding certain textures the default orientation is facing true north while I am working in project north.
Any advice on the subject would be great I have looked everywhere and cant answer this specific problem. Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the reply but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. The surface pattern in hidden line view isn't the problem it is realistic view that it's showing. And I cant seem to use the method suggested, I can't tab on the floor slab to get the shape handle.
sounds like your image for the material is rotated. Go into the properties for the material and check the image under rendering appearance. Betcha it's rotated a few degrees.
NOTE: you need to duplicate the assist and use different ones for different textures oriented to different directions. If you use 1 asset and u modify it, it will modify all and you ok be back to square 1

I just ran into a similar issue. None of the previous replies resolved it for me, but I finally fixed it by changing the material's pattern from drafting to model.
