I have modeled a composite structural floor slab using the Structural Deck option for the function of my metal decking. It allows me to then select which decking profile family I want to see in my sections. It's working great, except I noticed that the top line of the decking profile (if looking at it in section cutting parallel to the decking) is associated to a line style Thin Lines. This is a problem because we've changed the object style settings in our project template for Thin Lines to look like something that I don't want for this profile. The strange thing is, if cutting perpendicular to the decking so that you see the ribs in elevation, this Thin Line is not visible. (See my shots below for both cuts)
How can I get this decking profile to NOT use Thin Lines as it's line style when it's used in my project? I have read if I create a line style in my project that is the same name as the line style used in the profile family, (in the case of a profile family you only have two options for lines and they are Profile and <Invisible>), I can then adjust the object styles, but I have not been able to make this work. Every time I load this type of family, the lines default to THIN LINES. If I copy the linework from the family directly into my project as a test, it turns those lines into Thin Lines instead of keeping them Profile even though I now have a linestyle named Profile in my project identical to that in the family.
Can someone offer some help?
Thank you!
