I have a problem with my Revit 2020 after update ~10/6/19. Same files on a different PC ...no problem and behave correctly.
On any file I open I cannot edit or reset "wall" profile of any wall opening that has a dimension associated with it; if no dimension or I delete all dimensions in every view associated with opening then I can delete in edit mode or reset profile. I can move a line to change dimension but cannot delete any part of opening. If I try to delete an opening and select "finish check mark" it will not respond, instead my only option is to use the "X" and exit without saving. Normally an error message would pop up and say that a "dimension reference is invalid", but this is not happening!
Any help ???
is there anyway you can share the file so we can check? thanks
I don't think sharing the file will help as I can move the file to a different PC and everything works as it should.
I have noticed that I'm not getting any of the normal pop-up error messages regarding "deleting dimensions that are invalid"... as soon as I switch drawing to my laptop to adjust a wall that would not adjust on my desktop I'll get these error messages.
hopefully this triggers a quick fix idea otherwise I'm thinking a full reinstall
I have noticed another detail that may make this issue beyond the wall profile issue. It seems I'm getting no error or fix error pop-ups. Since I don't see these pop-ups I can't make correction so the option I'm working on will not finish without escaping!
Any help appreciated.
tried Revit:
Repair...no change
Re-Install...no change
Uninstall and full re-install...no change
All files used on this PC are having same issue, no dialog box that pops up to show error or invalid dimension actions required... I wonder if the error box is off screen some where? I will hunt for that next!
Problem discovered and somewhat solved
