Problem with voids not cutting sweeps

Problem with voids not cutting sweeps

Hey there!

I'm trying to create a structure that is beneath a bridge. To make the structure fit under the bridge I wanted to cut a few parts away. But Revit just tells me, that the elements can't be joined. To just join or cut it directly with the bridge structure doesn't work either. The file and a picture how it should look are attached.

Any suggestions? I would be greatful!

Hello!

Try to do the following:

1. Inside your family file, access the Family Category and Parameters, button above the Family Types button;

2. Select the option Cut with voids when loaded;

3. Insert the family on the project and, there, choose not to join but to cut. The voids that exist inside the family gonna cut the model on your project.

Sorry, that I reply so late.

The Problem is, that I tried to cut this Geometry tangential and it looks, like this is'nt possible. If I move the void just one Millimeter in any direction I can generate the Cut. The problem is, I need it to be tangential (see JPG).

Use a face based void family to cut the sweeps.
