Hello,
I have got a Revit file from architects, so we are working on the project completely off-line. After I added modifications to the projects, I sent the file back. There is a heading on every sheet with information about the project (date, author, scale, phase of project etc.)
If I open the heading family, it is made out of labels. However, at my computer the heading doesn't work. It shows nothing and is somehow not able to get the information about the project.
The same file, sent back to architects, works perfectly, and all of the necessary information is there. I suspect it has to do something with the Shared Parameters, but since I am not an expect, I don't know what to do. Also, to be able to create modifications, I made few new project parameters, but not sure if that makes any difference to the Shared Parameter.
Thanks in advance!
you can ask their Shared Parameter file, and add it to your Revit.
then have a look if it is doing the job.
Once they are Shared Parameters, the Parameter File is not needed. There is no reconciliation that needs to take place or is ongoing. The only time you would need the Shared Parameter file, is if you wanted to build new families that would utilize those parameters in the file. Other than that, there is no need to share the Shared Parameter File.
...that being said, I'm a little confused about your issue. Are you saying that the Titleblock labels are filled in for the Architect, but that same Titleblock (in the same exact file) shows the labels NOT filled in on your computer? That doesn't make any sense.
...just to be clear: we're talking about the exact same file showing different information. You see one thing; the Architect sees another. Right?
Correct, the same titleblock is filled at the computer of architect, on my computer there is no information displayed.
