Problem with Revit Intallation.

Hi there, am using windows 10 and a brand new Dell Inspiron 7000 series.

 

I downloaded the setup of Revit 2016 and 2017 from the Autodesk website with the student's license and began installation. After I began the installation it went to the Initializing screen and then there was no progress. It stayed in that screen for more than an hour. I also tried after disabling Mcafee, still the same thing happened.

 

Please look at the attachment to see the exact screen it is stuck in.

 

Please help me out here.

  1. If you have anything besides mcafee installed? Something like (example) AVG? Similar apps are worse than Trojans Even if it was a free trial which u r not using it would still run in the background and messes up certain installation (better uninstall them or completely shut them down)
  2. did you try to download/extract/install from AUTODESK Virtual Agent (link below in signature)...downloading from educational community website is still considered Webinstall and your connection/isp may not be up to the standard which allows such installations. In such case virtual agent would solve the issue
