Problem with Revit behavior

I have been experiencing a serious issue with Revit 2018 that has plagued me for a while and I need help..

Till late last week, Revit has been working fine, then all of a sudden, the following started to happen when I opened a drawing I was working on:

1. All of my plan views are blank

2. My elevation view show up, but the font has changed. I use a special architectural font which still shows up in the edit type box but has been replaced by a generic font in the drawing.

3. My dimension strings have lost all of their numbers.

4. My floor plan on the drawing sheet is gone

5. My site plan sheet shows up, but a lot of the information is gone. (e.g. dimension numbers, title block information

I have completely uninstalled Revit and all its components using a special uninstall programs which removes all traces of the program, including that which resides on C:/Autodesk.

Then I did a reinstall using the Revit installer software. The program installed without any problems but the problem mentioned persists. I tried a number of different drawings but the result is the same. I repeated the procedure several times without any success.

In the past, one or two tries at reinstalling usually did the trick, but this time I tried at least four times.

I use Revit 2018 latest edition on a Windows 10 platform

I'm at wits end and appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks

Probably better ask for technical support directly to autodesk. Screen grabs will help.

Hi arkitect

Hearing what are you talking about, it seems that the problem could be in this special font. The majority of the issues you are suffering are related to missing texts, missing tags, missing dimension tags...I guess that all theese texts and tags are written with this special font.

have you tried to unload or purge this font out of your project?

Idea: switch off any graphics improvement in revit, like anti-aliasing, hardware graphics acceleration... It could be possible that if your special font is a very complex one, your graphics subsystem will need a lot of resources.

I literally stumbled across the cause of the problem.

I had some other (unrelated) computer issues and called tech support for those. Unbeknownst to me, they installed a program called "Nanoheal" on my machine. Once I removed that program, Revit started running fine again and has ever since.

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community! Smiley Happy

HERE is some information on Nanoheal Client service which runs continuously in the background and most of the software installations use this service.

Were you able to resolve all the other issues as mentioned in your original post?

Please check and install latest updates and hotfixes for Revit 2018
